Rev Cynthia Strosahl Confirmed as Interim Pastor
During a congregational meeting after service on Sunday, September 20, 2020, Pastor Cynthia Strosahl was nominated as new Interim Pastor. Due to our COVID-19 mitigations currently going on, members voted by a show of hands out of their car window. Pastor Cyndy was approved unanimously.
Pastor Cyndi is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and Andover Newton Theological School and has a certificate in The Fundamentals of Transitional Ministry. This advanced work gave her the expertise to help dozens of churches, in the process of calling a new pastor, redefine what is needed to enter into the next phase of their church’s life. Pastor Cyndi considers it a privilege to walk with each unique church during the interim. It has also allowed her the opportunity to serve many years as an on-call chaplain and an elementary substitute teacher during the “in-between” times of her career. She has served American Baptist churches as an Interim Pastor for 35 years throughout Maine and Connecticut.
Pastor Cyndi and her husband David, a retired pastor, reside in Pottstown and have a son, Andrew, who is an attorney in Maine, and a daughter, Sarah, who was just called to be pastor of Royersford Baptist Church. She has two grandchildren, Asher, who is 3 years old, and Ellie Rose, who is just three months old. They are the joy of her life.
