Members of our congregation volunteer at the Ecumenical Soup Kitchen on the 3rd Thursday of every other month. Church members also volunteer most Saturdays at the Jubilee Breakfast Ministry.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry reaches out to those in need of comfort, encouragement or those celebrating a milestone event in their life by presenting them a handmade shawl or lap robe with has been created in prayer. As the item is being created, prayers that God will provide love and comfort are woven into the garment. A Prayer Shawl is a special way of showing someone that God loves them and cares about their circumstances.
ALLENTOWN RESCUE MISSION
Calvary has been doing a chapel service once a month at the Allentown Rescue Mission for a number of years. We usually start with an introduction and a prayer followed by a hymn-sing, the scripture reading, a message, and closing prayer. This ministry is a blessing to our volunteers as well as the men from the Rescue Mission
